This is Umut, CEO of DRS Publishing, here with updates on the Corpus Draconis: The Draconic Codex and beyond.
Corpus Draconis Update
We’re excited to announce that writing for Corpus Draconis: The Draconic Codex is nearly complete! Our goal is to finish both writing and balancing by January 25, after which the editing phase will take center stage. In truth, editing has already begun for many sections that have been finalized.
Playtest Materials Coming Soon
Once we have our first edited draft ready, we’ll release playtest materials. Get ready to dive in and explore the world of draconic magic firsthand!
New Artwork Previews
We know you’re eager for some visuals, so below, you’ll find a mix of finished artwork and concept sketches. We hope you enjoy the art style as much as the earlier Corpus releases!
PDF Delivery Issue
Some of you encountered issues receiving your PDFs of Corpus Malicious and Corpus Angelus. We believe the problem is resolved, but if you still don’t have your copies, please let us know!
We've also observed confusion among some of our backers regarding the PDFs to be received according to the pledges. We wanted to clarify which pledge receives which book(s):
Corpus Collection: Corpus Malicious, Corpus Angelus, Mindabar, Loniel
Corpus Trilogy: Corpus Malicious, Corpus Angelus
Rest of the pledges: Nothing yet, as Corpus Draconis books are not released yet.

We’re thrilled to partner with Hero Concept, a fantastic video game studio from Türkiye. They’re developing a Svilland video game with design input from us, and we’re also planning a Bloodpunk video game with them in the future.
Hero Concept has created several incredible games, and one of their new titles will be launching on Kickstarter soon.

Pledge Manager Opening, PDFs Sent!

Dear Dragon Knights,
We want to start our long-expected update with a sincere apology. We know it has been quite a while since we last posted an update and so long since we opened the pledge manager. We know that we haven’t been able to communicate with you fast enough, and this raised some concerns among you. We want to say that we’ve learned our lessons and will communicate with you faster by responding to comments and posting our regular Kickstarter updates quickly.
On the other hand, please note that the current slowness does not represent our work for the Corpus Draconis titles. The writing and editing processes of the books are going strong and on schedule. Rest assured, we have no issues there.
Now, let’s share some good news!
PDFs are Sent!
As of now, PDFs of the released books, Corpus Malicious, Corpus Angelus, Mindabar, and Loniel have been sent to the eligible backers. You will receive the PDFs as download links from DrivethruRPG and will be able to download them from there.
We have sent the links to the emails that you registered with in Backerkit. We know some prefer to have separate emails for DrivethruRPG. However, collecting emails via survey and sending the links to them created problems for us in the past. Dozens of people couldn’t receive their links, and we’ve found out that sending them to the registered emails makes the process more successful. Still, if you strongly prefer to receive your download links to another particular email, please contact us and we can send links to those separate emails you provided to us as well.
Pledge Manager is Opening
We’ve finished and sent the pledge manager for review. After the Backerkit team completes the review, we will send a smoke test where 5% of our backers will receive their surveys. And a couple of days after that, the remaining 95% of our backers will receive theirs. Please note that this is the standard procedure of Backerkit pledge manager and we cannot skip these steps.
Shipping Fees in 2025
You may recall that on our Kickstarter campaign page, we mentioned we would be collecting shipping fees immediately when the pledge manager opens. However, shipping companies update their pricing when the new year comes. We decided to collect the shipping fees in 2025, a couple of months from now, to have more accurate prices. We estimate that shipping fees will be ready for collection in February, depending on when we receive the updated prices from our shipping partners.
Svilland Entering Winter Sale!
Our beloved Norse setting for 5E, Svilland and all its titles are entering the winter sale! We will have major discounts on all Svilland titles. On top of that, as the titles are already available to purchase on our website, you will receive additional discounts if you choose to get them as add-ons in Corpus Draconis pledge manager.
This additional discount serves as an incentive for you because getting them as add-ons on the pledge manager means choosing to wait to receive the titles at the fulfillment time rather than receiving them instantly. On the other hand, getting the books as add-ons on the pledge manager also means less shipping cost (you will pay for one instead of two separate shipping instances).
Svilland has always been at the center of our hearts as our first child. It is the title that has made Dream Realm Storytellers a viable job for us. So please check it out! We think you’ll find it to be quite a setting!

We would like to sincerely apologize again for the long wait we’ve caused for the past couple of months. We’ll be much faster in our communications with you from now on. As part of our fulfillment process, we aim to provide you with Kickstarter updates every 1.5 months. The frequency can increase as we progress through the checkpoints in our fulfillment process.

Dear Dragon Knights,
We are very happy with this grand finish where we managed to unlock Dragon Tapestry in mere minutes before the end of the Kickstarter campaign! We are very grateful to all of you who’ve made this possible! With such an exciting finale, we come to the closure of the campaign, and now the adventure towards the fulfillment will begin! Now, let’s talk about what is awaiting us in the near future regarding Corpus Draconis.
A Special Thank You
First and foremost, we want to extend a heartfelt Thank You to each and every one of you. Whether you backed us on day one or in the final moments, you have been the driving force behind our success. Without you, Corpus Draconis would not be the exciting reality it is today. We’re honored to have such an amazing community, and we can’t wait to bring these dragons roaring to your tables!
Dragon Tapestry is Unlocked!
We would like to continue with the unlocking of our most recent stretch goal. Within minutes of the closure you’ve managed to unlock this stretch goal and now it will be available among the list of add-ons in the pledge manager!
On the tapestry, we will have our dragon deities from our pantheon, designed and drawn in a way that thematically resembles real tapestries in the world. We think you’ll like it a lot, and it will be a great wall hanging!
Collection of Payments
Starting tomorrow and going through the upcoming week, Kickstarter will collect the payments from your cards for the project. This is a period where some cards naturally fail the payment due to bank-related or financial issues.
We wish you to have no trouble in this time period so that you do not accidentally lose your pledge. Thus, we will be sending notifications to you every 2-3 days if your card has failed. It’s thus a good idea to keep an eye on your emails and Kickstarter messages during this period.
Pledge Manager and Late Pledges
We will be opening our pledge manager and pre-order store on Backerkit hopefully sometime within week 3 to 4. We would have preferred to open the pledge manager sooner, within week 2-3, but setting the shipping fees accurately in such volatility will be a challenge and thus may cause some delays.
On the pledge manager, you’ll be able to add add-ons, upgrade your pledges, or make late pledges if you’ve missed the Kickstarter campaign. We will post an update once it is open, along with a small guide on how to navigate in Backerkit. Your shipping fees will also be collected on the pledge manager once it is open.
PDFs of Released Books
We will also send the PDFs of the books that are already released to those eligible right away when the pledge manager is open. You will be receiving them as an email from DrivethruRPG containing links for the PDF items.
Once again, thank you very much for making this project a reality and for letting us do what we love! We hope to pay you back by bringing great dragons to your table! We will see you again on our next update.

New Contents Pack Unlocked!

We are happy to announce that our next stretch goal, New Contents Pack, is finally unlocked! Now we will be able to include even more epic content to Corpus Draconis. We’re also grateful for your ideas on new content, we’ve had a tremendous interest in our survey we posted on our last update.

As you may recall, we’ve asked for your ideas for new content on our last update while we were approaching this stretch goal. With a lot of interest on new ideas from you, we’ve had our survey literally flooded with ideas for dragon content! There are many great ideas, small and big, that would be awesome in the book! Thank you very much for your interest and support.
If you have ideas in mind, we wish to continue the conversation under this update as well! Feel free to submit your ideas on the survey that we shared on our last update, as well as the comment section of this update!
